Gwendolyn Torrence

Originally from the DC area,Gwendolyn Torrence is a New York based actor, mover, and dancer. She has performed with The Tank, The Old Yorkers, and done an assortment of gigs ranging from hair modeling to background dancing. She is pursuing her love of performance and continues to sharpen her skills with Blessed Unrests training ensemble.

 

At a young age Gwendolyn fell in love with dancing. Whenever she was listening to music, she was dancing in her head. That love of dance was realized at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, where she received an intense and rewarding dance education from highly renowned dance instructors. She has explored many different phyiscal forms including trapeze, butoh, and devised physical theater.
